As a primary school teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching all subjects, what I love most is seeing children grow in confidence as they learn. Each subject brings something different English gives children the chance to express themselves creatively, maths helps them develop problem-solving skills, and science encourages curiosity about the world around them. I especially enjoy those lightbulb moments when a child suddenly understands something they’ve been working hard on. It’s a privilege to support that journey and help make learning feel exciting and achievable.

When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy volunteering with my local football club, where I support youth teams and help organise events and fundraising. I also love being creative designing marketing materials, planning activities, and spending quality time with my family exploring the Cornish coast.

I became a tutor because I wanted to offer more personalised support to children and their families, particularly those who may not thrive in a busy classroom environment and may need a bit of extra encouragement, or those that would benefit from being challenged further. I love being able to adapt my teaching to suit each child’s unique needs and help them build confidence and succeed. Tutoring allows me to make a real, lasting difference in a child’s learning journey.
