My favourite thing about maths is the joy it gives me. It feels just like solving puzzles or playing games. There’s something so satisfying about facing a challenge, sticking with it, and finally cracking the solution. I love the thrill of discovering new concepts and the resilience it builds along the way. I honestly can't rest until I've figured out the answer! To me, maths is all about problem-solving, patterns, and playful thinking, like a brain workout that's actually fun.
Outside of tutoring, I’m also a professional trumpet player. I regularly perform with orchestras, at festivals, weddings, and various other events. Music has always been a huge part of my life. It brings me joy, keeps me creative, and offers a completely different way to connect with people. Balancing tutoring and music keeps me inspired in both areas!
Being neurodivergent and having faced challenges in school myself, I’ve always wanted to be the teacher I needed growing up. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to learn in environments that aren’t built with neurodiversity or SEN/D in mind. Over the years, I’ve seen just how many students feel anxious, lack confidence, or struggle to engage with Maths, not because they can’t learn, but because they haven’t been given the right support. That’s why my mission is to reach and support as many of those students as I can. Whether you’re neurodivergent, have special educational needs, or just need a confidence boost, I strive to be empathetic, patient, fun, and engaging. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel comfortable enough to explore, ask questions, and push your learning boundaries. I’m committed to explaining things in as many different ways as it takes until it really clicks for you.
