Supporting Local Schools Through Free GCSE Small Group Tuition

At CB Tutoring and Exams, we are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people across Cornwall. This half term, we have been proud to work alongside local secondary schools to provide free small group GCSE tuition for 

Year 11 students as they prepared for their final examinations.

Working closely with two local schools, Sir James Smith's School and Fowey River Academy, we delivered targeted support designed to help students strengthen their subject knowledge, improve exam technique, and build confidence ahead of their GCSEs. Through small group sessions, students were able to receive focused guidance in a supportive environment, helping them tackle areas they found challenging and feel more prepared for exam season.

The feedback from both students and schools has been incredibly positive. It has been wonderful to see students grow in confidence and develop a more positive outlook towards their exams. We know that Year 11 can be a stressful and demanding time, and we are delighted to have played a small part in helping students feel more capable and supported during this important stage of their education.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this programme has been the opportunity to work collaboratively with local schools. By combining our expertise in tutoring with the schools' knowledge of their students' needs, we have been able to provide meaningful and effective support where it matters most.

As we look ahead to the new academic year, we are excited to continue expanding this initiative. We will be partnering with a limited number of schools for September 2026 and are currently looking to work with two to three schools that would benefit from additional GCSE support for their students.
