Tuition Manager
Salary: £31,750 pro-rata (actual £24,965.48)
Location: Bodmin, Cornwall
Contract Type: 35 hours a week, 41 weeks a year (term time plus 2 weeks)
Reports to: CEO/ Compliance Manager

About CB Tutoring & Exams
We are a tuition business and a JCQ approved exam centre based in Bodmin, offering face to face or online tuition, 1 to 1, or small groups. We are an approved Out of School provider with the local council and support many schools and training providers with alternative provision. Role Overview
The Tuition Manager plays a central role in ensuring the smooth delivery of high quality tutoring and provision at CB Tutoring & Exams. You will coordinate tutors, manage client relationships, and match students with the most suitable tutors to support positive learning outcomes. You will coordinate group sessions and work with families to support children’s learning.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for tutor and client enquiries, ensuring timely, friendly, and professional responses

Manage incoming client enquiries, identifying individual student needs and recommending appropriate support

Match students with the most suitable tutors based on subject, level, learning style, and availability

Coordinate tutor schedules, bookings, and session delivery

Build and maintain strong working relationships with tutors

Support tutor recruitment and onboarding in collaboration with the Compliance Manager
-
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding sessions and progress

Prepare accurate invoicing information for the finance function

Maintain detailed and accurate student and tutor records

Person Specification

Essential:

Experience in administration, coordination, or customer-facing roles
-
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Confidence in handling enquiries and matching services to client needs

Ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders
-
High attention to detail and accuracy
-
Competent with digital tools (e.g. spreadsheets, booking systems, email)
Desirable:

Experience within education, tutoring, or training environments

Experience supporting recruitment or onboarding

Understanding of safeguarding in education

Experience working in a small business or growing organisation
