Immy

English is a particular passion of mine because I feel that the subject is an essential tool to life. Not only does it educate, but it also engages and evokes empathy. I have an ardent love for reading especially; to know that all of the great themes in literature are timeless and universal is somehow compelling and consoling.

When I am not tutoring, I love to enjoy a long walk, or indulge in a good book. I also take great pleasure in cooking and enjoying meals with friends and family. Taking a break away from a screen is my favourite reset!

I felt the need to cultivate my love for English and take it further by educating others. Tutoring seems like a special way to do this, as other barriers that you are up against in the classroom are removed and the real focus is on the content of the subject. I am acutely aware of how important education is, while the education system can be tricky for some people. I feel that all young people deserve equal opportunities and tutoring will enable me to practise this ethos.
