My favourite thing about maths is the links that you can make between topics. Often maths is treated as a series of individual topics but I enjoy showing how separate topics combine together.

I'm a keen sportsman and enjoy cycling, running and spending time outside with my wife and son.

I feel that tutoring is where you can make a real difference to students' outcomes and their confidence in the subject. After nearly 20 years as a secondary school maths teacher, I realised I enjoyed this aspect of teaching the most.
