Favourite thing about foreign languages? I've always loved words and spotting similarities between different languages - it makes me think of the movement of people round the world and the things they've shared over thousands of years. Using another language to connect with people gives a powerful sense of achievement, it's an absolute superpower!

When I'm not working I spend time with my gorgeous grandsons, work in my garden, teach swimming, read, go in the sea, see friends and eat cake!

I think it's important that all young people have a chance to experience foreign languages, and tutoring is a way to reach those who may not have had that opportunity, so I'm really looking forward to sharing my passion with others.
